Strange story

#128 shadow

This is a story from when I was a student.

A friend of mine decided to move away from his parents and live alone. I helped him move.
I helped him move and we decided to stay overnight and have a drinking party.
The new house was an old wooden apartment with a four-and-a-half-mat kitchen, a six-mat Japanese-style room, and a unit bath.
The vacant lot in front of the apartment was well ventilated, but I thought there might be a lot of bush mosquitoes in the summer.

During the day, I helped clean up after the move, and in the evening, a drinking party started.
It was only the first day after we moved in. We didn’t make too much noise, and we didn’t have a lot of fun.
We spent the time talking and enjoying ourselves.
I don’t remember what we were talking about, but we weren’t talking about anything scary.
But as we talked, I noticed something.

The house was an old wooden apartment, and the light in the rooms were not fluorescent bulbs, but light bulbs.
Therefore, there were shadows in the room.
The shadows of our figures floating on the wall. There were many shadows. I thought it might be because the shadows were sometimes doubled by the light.
I thought it might be because of that, but the position of the shadows was between us, and it was as if we were listening to the conversation together.

I was worried about my friend who moved into a house with such a shadow, but I thought it would be a bad idea to tell her on the first day of her new house and scare her for nothing.
I went home the next day without talking about it.
That night, perhaps because I was worried about this, I had a dream.
The scene was my friend’s house. It was midnight. I was talking with my friends under the light of a light bulb in the same situation as last night.
And as I looked at them, I saw one more shadow on the wall, just like last night.

As I stared at the shadows in my dream, they began to sway slowly from side to side.
It was as if it was aware that I was watching it and was trying to provoke me.
I sensed malice in the shadow, and I regretted it. I wished I had never noticed the shadow.

I looked around and saw that my friends were gone before I knew it, and only me and the shadow remained in the room.

The shadows were initially in human form, but as they swayed, they changed their shape and began to crawl on all fours. It seemed to me to be a collection of animal thoughts.

It was a collection of evil thoughts.
I slowly backed up, looking for a way to escape. In the small room of 6 tatami mats
A shadowy wall in front of me. To the left is a window. The right side is a four-and-a-half tatami kitchen and a shoji door leading to the entrance.
Behind it is a wall made of the same rough, old-fashioned material as the front one.

Don’t come. Don’t come. Don’t come. Don’t come. Don’t come.

I move backward, muttering a prayer in my heart. The shadow moves away from the wall, swaying.
It is approaching me as a three-dimensional object.
My back is almost to the wall.
Just when I thought it was over, the space behind me suddenly widened. The wall disappeared.
And in its place, my room in my house appeared. The window of my room was replaced by the wall of my friend’s room.
Now I could escape.
I rushed into my room through the window and closed the glass window.
I did not want the shadow to know that I had escaped to my room.
But just as I closed the window, I felt as if my eyes met the shadow.

Oh, no. connected.

I couldn’t think logically about what was connected.
I just thought, “Connected.” I was awakened at once. I returned to the real world at once.
I returned to the real world at once.
As soon as I woke up, I heard a tapping sound on the glass window.

It was not the sound of a tree branch hitting in the wind. It was clearly a regular knocking sound.
A knocking sound.
My body was in bondage and I could not move. I was connected to my friend’s room and my room. And then it was the other world and this world?

I was so terrified that I blacked out and the next thing I knew, it was morning. But for a while, I continued to have the phenomenon of being tied up at night and hearing the sound of

After that, however, it seemed that the shadow could not open the window and come into my room after all (it was still terrifying enough), and after a while the shadow gave up and this phenomenon ended.
I asked my friend how it was going.

He replied, “Yes. It seems like something is there, and sometimes the lights come on and the doors open on their own.But I don’t mind, so it doesn’t matter.”

I was too conscious of it and even called it to my house (outside of the apartment).
I guess that’s what I mean.

Since then, when I see “something” other than people, I try not to be interested or scared more than necessary.
