Scary story

#52 A Scary Story About Fortune Tellers.

This is something a studio musician said on the radio, so some of you may know it…

There was a fortune teller who was a family friend.
She was more like a neighbor lady than a fortune teller.
Sometimes she would say to me, “You have a big job coming up. A couple of days after she told me, “You’re going to get a big job, and I’ll put a lot of effort into it.
I thought to myself, “That’s great….

As my commercial work increased and my income rose, I bought a condominium near my house. (It was used.) That was the beginning.
First, eczema started to appear all over my child’s body, and my wife and I both started to have strange dreams and could not sleep at all.
The fortune teller’s auntie started to get worried and came to visit us to take care of the child.
At that time, she suddenly said, “You mustn’t let the child sleep in this room,” and she took the child in her arms and took him to the living room.
Then she returned to the room and said
” I feel a mysterious presence coming from over here…” She looked behind the air conditioner and said, “Is it the previous occupant?”
She showed me something.
It was a strange object, a piece of disposable chopstick wrapped around my hair.
“It has a strong curse on you,” she said.
“What are you going to do?”
“Maybe the best thing to do is to move out.”
At that time, my child was having a bad time and I didn’t want to move away from the place as it seemed like I was running away.
“Can you exorcise this curse?”
She said, “It’s a little expensive. If you don’t mind… well, leave it to old lady.”

The next day, the fortune teller put a lot of shrine charms in the room, and put a small incense burner like a small incense burner.
She burned a goma on a tiny incense burner and chanted some incantations…
“This should be good. Well, let’s see how it goes for a while.”
That’s what she said.

The next day, the child’s eczema began to heal and the funny dreams stopped.
I thought, “Now all of our problems are solved..”

I called the fortune teller and told her about it.
She said, “I was worried because you gave me so much. I was afraid you would get angry if it didn’t work out…” She was delighted.

The next day, however, strange things started happening again.
In the morning, there was a round object made of what looked like mud kneaded with blood in front of the front door.
When I told the fortune teller about it, she came to me alarm
“This is outrageous,” she said. “What are you going to do now?”
“I will fight. I have to protect my wife and children. You will help me, won’t you?”
“Leave it to me. I’ll do everything I can.”

Then the teasing continued a few more times, with me paying off the fortune teller when the blood mud dumplings were placed.
The amount of money I had to pay to the fortune teller was almost my annual income, and I was beginning to run out of energy and energy, and I was wondering what to do.
The fortune teller suggested one way.
She would pretend to have moved out, reassure them and give them some time to think of a countermeasure.
If we were successful, they would think we had completely moved out and it would all be over…
With that in mind, my wife and children went to my wife’s parents’ house.
I had to work, so I stayed at a studio, a business hotel, or a friend’s house.

However, we couldn’t stay like that forever, so after about 10 days
I returned home to see how things were going and to get some things I would need for the rest of my life.
My wife also left the kids at home and we stayed there to discuss the future.

The next day, when I opened the front door, there was a blood mud dumpling there, which had not been there until last night.
As I was discouraged that even this method was not working, my wife said to me
“I saw it. I saw someone leaving mud dumplings.”
“Who was doing that??”
“The fortune teller put them in front of the front door early in the morning.”
