#48 One of Japan’s Most Famous Scary Stories “Kunekune” Another Story

This is a true story that my brother told me.
It is a true experience of my brother’s friend, A-kun.

When he was a child, he and his brother went to visit his mother’s countryside.
It was sunny outside and the rice fields were green and lush.

It was a beautiful day, but for some reason they didn’t feel like playing outside, so they stayed inside.
Suddenly, the older brother got up and went to the window.
A-kun followed and went to the window.
He followed the direction of the older brother’s gaze and saw a person.
There was a person dressed in pure white standing there. (He couldn’t tell if it was a man or a woman from that distance from the window.)
He wondered what he was doing in that place, so he kept looking.
The person in white began to wiggle and move.
Dancing, perhaps? Just as he thought this, the white person bent his body in an unnatural direction.
They say that he bends his indirects in a way that does not seem very human. Wiggle, wiggle, wiggle.
A-kun felt weird and talked to his brother.
“Hey, What is that? Can you see them, big brother?”
The big brother replied, “I don’t know.”
But right after he answered, he seemed to know what that white person was.
A-kun said, “Did you understand, brother? Can you tell me?”.
The brother said, “I understand. But it’s better if you don’t know,” and he didn’t answer.

What was that all about?
Even now, A-kun doesn’t know.
“Why don’t you ask A-kun’s brother again?” I said to my brother.
Because I am also somewhat indigested by all this.
Then, my brother said, “I’m sorry, but I’m not sure.
“A-kun’s brother is mentally handicapped now.”
